Lemongrass, Basil, and Pineapple Tea recipe: I used to eat so much pineapple during the summer months that my tongue would sting, due to the enzyme bromelain, which is used as both a meat tenderizer and an anti-inflammatory. As a hot tea, however, the pineapple is sipped, rather than scarfed down as a whole fruit, and the lemongrass and basil provide some herbaceous notes to balance out pineapple’s citrusy sweetness.

    Place the pineapple, lemongrass, and basil in a teapot. Add the water and let the mixture steep for 2 minutes. Enjoy.
