Dalgona Candy recipe “Squid Game” is wonderful (if not kind of terrifying) shows that have much iconic time. Maybe one of the best iconic is in episode 2 when the contestants fight to cut out shapes performed in the honeycomb-Esque candy noted as Dalgona. What some folks may not know is this is a Korean treat that’s eaten all the moment and is super easy to make at house.

Diagonal Candy is produced in ladles over little burners on the road of many Korean towns and is a very famous treat with the kids. If you don’t have a ladle, you could use a heavy-bottomed, steel measuring cup. Just melt sugar once amber in color (stirring to avoid crystal), then stir in a bit of baking soda. The baking soda act with the hot sugar and aerates to form a crisp, lovely candy.

Pour it onto parchment and stamp it with a cookie-cutter form of your selection. At this point, you could even push in a little stick to produce the ideal on-the-go snack.

    Step 1

    Line a little baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Step 2

    With a ladle or in a very little skillet (ideally nonstick), including sugar. Spot the ladle or skillet straight over a medium flame, and stir the sugar with a chopstick till it commences to merge about 2 minutes

    Step 3

    One time all the sugar was melting and come out amber in color, immediately take away the ladle/skillet from the heat. Stir in baking soda till the mixing has aerated slightly and turned light brown

    Step 4

    Pour the mixture onto the ready baking sheet in two-match circles. Spray the flat side of a metallic measurement cup or spatula with cooking spray, and push the candy to a ¼" thickness.

    Step 5

    Use a cookie cutter to establish your wanted shape. Allow cool and deliver.
